I went to an Internet Marketing Seminar!

Did you ever wonder how You can Developing A Niche?

Last month in July, I was able to go to Milwaukee, Wisconsin for a Ross Goldberg’s Midwest Internet Marketing Seminar. Ross is a pretty cool guy with some really good stories; I also met a lot of Internet Marketers there. This was a wonderful experience for me and if you ever get a chance to go to an Internet Seminar, don’t hesitate, just go! I will write more on who I met at a later date.

I do want to tell you about a couple I did meet and spent a lot of time with, Greg and Stephanie Mulac. They needed a babysitter for their two wonderful little girls, so I brought my 14 year old son with to babysit their girls. The first night we stayed at a campsite and visited with the Mulac’s. The next night my son and I stayed at a hotel near Milwuakee, where the seminar was held. Greg had just quit his job about nine months prior to when I met him and his wife Stephanie has been marketing for awhile. I was on Stephanie’s list and if you want, you can see a picture of me with her at: http://success.90percentattitude.com/. If you go down to the second post, I am the guy on the left of her with the dark collar. Wow, do I look old for being only 44. :)

Greg and I started talking and he suggested putting up a blog, and of course he had an easy way of getting it up and running. I got their Brass Ring Blogging kit and this is so easy to do. This is my first blog and I do plan on doing more blogs on other sites I am working on.

Now, some of you may have noticed that I haven’t written much lately in an email to you and that is because I did have some trouble with my hosting. I now have switched hosting companies to better accommodate my websites and lists. The hosting company I am now with is called HostGator and is a lot better for me due to the up time they have. I will be getting more in touch with you through emails and this blog. Please don’t hesitate to make a post.

To everyones success and longevity on the net,

Scott F. LaPlante

Hostgator works great as I’ve used them before. Never had an issue with them.

Hi Ken, thanks for your reply! Yes, Hostgator works great, my other hosting was on the fritz due to the gentleman that ran it got into a car accident and could no longer run it. Sad story for him and all involved, but things do happen, and always remember to make a backup, makes things a whole lot easier.

    Hi Ken,

This is an inspiring story, about the path you took to get up and running on a new server with WordPress. You make it sound easy — and that’s a good thing :-)

I have 4 blogs over at blogspot and am planning to move them to my own sites soon using WordPress. Hostgator is one of the hosting companies we use, and I like it a lot, but I also started using HostiCan recently and like it too. My flagship site is up on a server that’s powered 100% by renewable energy — and the “cool factor” is just irresistible.

But the host that is the ultimate in my book is CrystalTech. They have it all — but you will pay for it; it’s not cheap. I have my Daytoppers site over there and have used them for almost 10 years now. I’m happy over there — their technical support team is one of the best in the business, and their customer service superb.

So thanks for the invite, and good luck moving in this new direction.
